The last hits = good for clearing crowds or escaping, too. Those combos can be used in all 3 games over and over. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a decent port and still holds up wonderfully well Tons of content with previously released DLC and modes included Gore makes a return Performance in both Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. That makes you finish with a Flying Swallow slash rather than a suplex.

I think you're actually invincible while doing it, but some enemies can block it and counter-attack.
The boss everyone struggles with, Alma, even gets eaten up by this move. They nerfed it a bit in the sequels, but it's overpowered in NG1. You can abuse the hell out of this move in tons of situations. If you press strong attack during this air dash, Ryu will streak forward, slash enemies, and usually end up behind them. There is also a port of the first NES Ninja Gaiden developed by Hudson for the PC Engine and released only in Japan, although the game features an unlockable. Ryu will do this little air dash type of move.

The Flying Swallow is done by pressing jump+weak attack at the exact same time. Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection (opens in new tab) collects two of the finest hack-and-slash games ever made, plus Ninja Gaiden 3, and releases tomorrow on Steam. Both moves work really well but only with normal sized swords. But perhaps the most remarkable aspect of this PC port is how you change the resolution. The best two hints I can give you are to use these two attacks: Flying Swallow and Izuna Drop. You have to know weapon ranges/speeds, and the bosses are fought in a similar manner. It's faster paced, but following similar concepts.

Some of the available mods are fun, the “Sigma 2 Black“ mod especially, but whether you choose to play around with those is obviously up to you. There’s no keyboard and mouse support whatsoever, including in menus, so a gamepad is required. You can only choose between 720p, 1080p, 1440p and 4K resolution, the graphics options only include a V-Sync toggle (on, off or triple buffered), AA (on or off), depth of field (on or off) and shadows (on or off.) Performance won’t be a problem as even a moderate rig can run these games at 4K, 60 FPS with no issues, but you’re not going to be able to push the boat out on visuals compared to, say, the console versions. Quality of the Sigma releases themselves aside and speaking solely about the quality of the port, it’s functional.
